About Us
TTJ (Timber Trades Journal) is a global brand, the most widely read and highly respected title in the international timber industry. Published since 1873, it provides a unique perspective on the UK market, still one of the world’s five biggest timber and wood products importers, while also providing comprehensive coverage of the sector worldwide; focused on raw materials supply, production, product and technical developments and trading patterns.
TTJ’s core subscribers are timber importers and distributors and others in the supply chain; from sawmills, merchants, agents, international suppliers and traders through to joinery manufacturers, timber engineering firms, timber frame manufacturers and furniture makers. includes architects, contractors and decision makers in government and industry.
Coverage extends from forestry and primary production, through sawmilling and initial processing, to shipping, distribution, merchanting, specification, design, architecture and end-user markets. Technical issues, R&D, wood-processing machinery and timber treatments and finishes are also core content. Production and supply developments worldwide are followed by country and region.
TTJ, which celebrated its 150 year anniversary in 2023, is owned by Progressive Media International, part of the New Statesman Media Group, which includes magazines, events, editorial insight, market data and information services covering a range of industries.
2024 Audience
TTJ is independent, paid for by subscribers and distributed worldwide, and provides the ideal setting for advertising to have maximum impact with decision makers.
We continue to invest heavily in the circulation of TTJ to create a highly engaged audience. A wider multimedia audience ensures an industry-leading circulation which is distributed across the UK & Ireland and worldwide.
In light of COVID-19, we now also distribute many of our-hard copies to people’s home addresses, which means the magazine is not missed by people regardless of whether they are working from the office or at home.
