The company won best Garden Leisure and Entertaining product with its new timber garden bar and two stool set and followed it up by winning the Best Furniture Product at SOLEX trade show, again with the same set.

Designed by the in-house product innovation team, the garden bar and two stool set was deemed, by the SOLEX award judges, to be “multi-functional” with a “clever use of material” and at “a low price point”, giving added value.

“This was a huge company-wide effort and we’re delighted to have been recognised by industry experts and our peers at the two key trade shows for the outdoor leisure industry,” said Neil Sholes, head of product design and innovation. “There was a lot of interest in the garden bar set on our exhibition stand at both shows.

“We have worked alongside our marketing team and the wider company to design a host of innovative products based on consumer trends, also including our new garden pizza oven table that we exhibited at the trade shows. The garden bar set is just one of the many highlights in our new range of sustainable timber garden products and we’re looking forward to bringing them to the market in 2023.”

The garden bar and two stool set is a perfect, space saving party piece making it ideal for any outdoor setting. Innovative and versatile, its main storage doors open to make a base for a fold down countertop bar, while the hinged doors on the side panels reveal fully fitted drinks cabinet shelving. The main storage space contains two stackable stools for guests.

The garden pizza oven table was at finalist at Glee in the Garden Leisure and Entertaining product category. The table has been designed with 360-degree access for fueling the oven, as well as cooking and serving pizzas. The main central table top is designed to securely hold a pizza oven with fold up sides for preparation and serving.

In addition to winning the Best Furniture Product at SOLEX, Zest also came second in the Best Exhibition Stand category.

“We are thrilled that Zest has won these two product awards and to have been presented with second in the Best Stand category,” said Steve Morgan, P&A Group managing director. “Our stand was designed, built and styled in-house by various divisions within the P&A Group. The impressive wooden planters were planted up by our Woodworks Garden Centre, Mold, the Zest warehouse and transport teams delivered the large stand and products to the events on carefully packed pallets made by P&A Pallets and Packaging – it really was a company-wide effort.”
