The assessment, carried out with the Primorsky Territory Administration and the Moscow National Timber University, involved 18 of the largest timber enterprises in the region.
Only one enterprise was given a high ecological responsibility rating, while five were judged as having medium rates. The rest were either deemed low or unsatisfactory.
WWF has prepared detailed recommendations for all enterprises to help them correct defects.
