WRAP, the Waste & Resources Action Programme, is to start work this summer on an initial £16.5m set of new programmes as part of the government’s latest push to reduce waste and recycle more.

Highlights of the programmes are reducing waste at home; recycling and composting more; raising public awareness of the need to reduce waste and recycle more.

The organisation recently launched a map of wood recycling opportunities in the UK on its website www.wrap.org.uk.
