After seeing a WRAP campaign leaflet The Scotts Company launched a mulch made from recycled woodchip and said that so far the material has sold well.
The product – Levington Nature Scapes Constant Colour Mulch – is made by combining recycled woodchips supplied by West Bromwich-based wood recycler Giffords with Scott’s long lasting dyes.
Scotts initially ordered 7,500 tonnes of recycled woodchip from Giffords but will increase this figure if sales support it. The product is being sold in 70 litre bags at Focus DIY stores and other garden centres.
