The Forestry Industry Council of Great Britain (FICGB) Woodmark Scheme has been closed.

Peter Wilson, executive director of the Forest Industries Development Council (FIDC), FICGB’s successor body, said: “There has been a lot of progress in developing customer assurance in the 10 years since the FICGB Woodmark was introduced.

“Certification to the UK Woodland Assurance Standard by Forest Stewardship Council accredited certifiers is now the most popular and credible means of demonstrating that timber is derived from well-managed forests in the UK.”
