GMO Renewable Resources LLC, the timberlands investment division of global investment company GMO LLC, has bought the entire 1.1 million acres of woodland owned by forest products company International Paper Co in Maine and New Hampshire for US$250m.
Under the terms of the deal, expected to be finalised in the New Year, GMO Renewable Resources will supply timber to International Paper.
