Forestry minister Allan Wilson has launched an urban woodland strategy designed to improve the lives of people living between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The Central Scotland Forest Trust’s strategy, unveiled at Airdrie on May 10, aims to improve green space around urban areas, create more access to the countryside, maximise the benefits and value of woodlands and boost healthier lifestyles.
