Top honours in the 2004 Scotland’s Finest Woodlands Awards have gone to the forest of Glen Affric, Cannich and Plodda Falls in the Highlands.
The award – for large woods – is one of three made annually by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland, the Royal Scottish Forestry Society, Scottish Woodlands Ltd and the Forestry and Timber Association.
A farm woodland near Dunblane won the Farm Woodlands award, but there was no overall winner this year in the Small Woods section.
