The Wood Window Alliance industry marketing group (WWA) has featured on a Sky TV show and advertised in conjunction with the programme.
Sean Parnaby, chairman of the WWA campaign, was interviewed during an episode of the How to Go Green series, which looked at how double glazing can help cut energy consumption.
The show, which will be broadcast again on Sunday February 20, also screened on Freesat Networks and, according to the WWA, in total had a potential audience of 24 million viewers in 10 million homes.
In the programme, Mr Parnaby stressed the “energy-saving, asset-building and sustainability benefits of using timber window frames”.
“Wood Windows are wind-tight, leak-proof and carbon negative because the wood they are made from stores more energy than is used in their manufacture,” he said. “They’re also energy efficient, with double or triple-glazed BRFC ‘A’ rated products now available, and they’re low maintenance, typically with eight-year paint and 30-year frame warranties.”
The WWA’s new commercial was shown in the programme break.
“Our presence on TV, combined with our new TV advertisement, marks a new era in our promotional campaign, and will be incredibly valuable as we move forward,” said Mr Parnaby after the programme was first aired.
