Engineered wood products will be showcased at an ‘Innovation and Sustainability’ exhibition organised by wood. for good at the Building Centre, Store Street, London.

Aimed at architects and specifiers, the exhibition – which runs from September 25 to October 31 – will give information about the latest technology, developments and best practices in sustainable building with timber.

Engineered wood products on show will include factory finished wood windows, flooring cassettes, I-beams, glulam and the latest in timber frame. There will also be an area dedicated to the environment, giving information about wood and its credentials as a sustainable building material.

During October there will be four Thursday evening seminars at the Building Centre’s lecture hall with guest speakers from across the industry.

On October 3 the subject will be ‘Innovation in building with timber frame’; October 10 – ‘Innovation in engineered wood and timber structures; October 17 – ‘Building in wood – the only sustainable way forward’; October 24 – ‘Innovation in sustainable windows’.

Charles Trevor, managing director of wood.for good, said: “With the need for sustainable design and construction at the heart of the building industry’s agenda we are pleased to be able to exhibit at the Building Centre and act as a catalyst for businesses and companies involved in supplying and manufacturing wood related products.”
