Entries for the annual competition organised by Chiltern International Fire in conjunction with the Institution of Fire Engineers for students completing fire research projects close on May 30.

Entry forms for the competition are available from Tom Gregory on 01494 569812 or they can be downloaded from the fire safety engineering section at www.chilternfire.co.uk.

The research must have been completed during the previous three years and the judges will take into account benefits of the results and conclusions to the fire safety engineering community; the extent to which objectives of the research have been met; quality of the work and presentation; efficiency with which the work is completed.

The winner will receive £500 and £250 is awarded to the runner up.
