Diffutherm and Pavatherm Plus wood fibre insulation boards have been used to insulate the external walls of an award-winning Dundee development designed to deliver ultra-low bills.
The boards, sold by Natural Building Technologies were selected for thermal performance, sustainability credentials and breathability.
The timber-clad sections of walls are insulated with 60mm-thick Pavatherm Plus, while the rendered areas feature 100mm-thick Diffutherm boards.
The boards are designed to provide high thermal mass in order to help regulate overheating during the summer months.
The development comprises 14 two-storey semi-detached houses to satisfy general needs, two bungalows for wheelchair users and five cottages featuring smart technology.
