The not-for-profit group is inviting bids for access to UK-wide social housing, schools and other public sector projects. There is a separate scheme for PVCu and aluminium products.

“We are getting ready to begin the tendering process to identify contractors who will be appointed on a regional basis,” said LHC director John Skivington.

“The successful companies will be promoted to our database of member and user contacts, including social housing providers and schools.

These bodies have budgets of up to £60m to spend on components and services each year with a total of £21m spent on window and door products.”

LHC said its framework was used 227 times last year by 137 customers for work on 414 projects around the UK. The consortium said it saved public sector organisations £20m in procurement costs.
