International freight operator the Wilson Group is to target UK timber importers and shippers with a new on-line freight service.
The “Wilshipper” internet service, to be launched globally in September, is claimed to be the first on-line facility to access prices, transit times and make bookings all at the same time.
The company says the system has already proved a great success in Scandinavia, with benefits including time and cost savings and a reduction in administration.
Wilson’s British arm, Wilson Logistics UK, is trialling the system in advance of the global launch.
