Roofdeck will be sold as a Wickes‘ own brand aimed at builders or roofers for flat roof or pitched roof applications, Norbord said.
Norbord already produces Roofdek, which it supplies to Travis Perkins and Jewson among 50,000m3 a year of its 18mm OSB that is popular for roofing applications.
The new Roofdeck is manufactured in 2440x1200mm boards with tongue and groove on two edges, eliminating the need for support noggins. It also has a sanded surface for better adhesion, and has been designed to be compatible with Wickes’ Easy seal self-adhesive roofing felt.
A Norbord spokesperson said unlike many plywood panels, Roofdeck was fully compliant with British and Eurocode 5 standards.
