Weyerhaeuser is selling its French composite panels business to Financiera Maderera SA (FINSA) for an undisclosed sum.
The sale of the French business, part of Weyerhaeuser’s ongoing strategic review, is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter.
FINSA is the largest MDF and particleboard producer in Spain.
Weyerhaeuser, which will continue to serve existing customers until the sale is completed, said its French facilities were a better strategic fit for FINSA.
