The first new UltraPine particleboard has been produced at Weyerhaeuser‘s Louisiana Particleboard operation after an US$80m modernisation project.
UltraPine is Weyerhaeuser’s latest engineered panels product and the start-up at LPB brings annual production to 460 million ft2.
Meanwhile, this week, the company cut a further 87 jobs in Oregon – 37 in laminated veneer lumber and 50 in Trus Joist – and 90 in Pennsylvania.
