A A$4m cash boost for value-added processors in Western Australia is expected to create about 250 jobs.
The money, made available by the Western Australian government after a funding package for the buyer of the state’s biggest mill was not taken up, will be used to help timber processors invest in new manufacturing facilities.
The government hopes the funding will help establish a vibrant furniture manufacturing sector in Manjimup.
