German doorset manufacturer Westag & Getalit says its reputation among buyers has been boosted following the achievement of BM TRADA Q-Mark certification under the fire door manufacturers’ scheme.
The BM TRADA Q-Mark covers the company’s complete range of fire doorsets, including foil, CPL, HPL, wood veneer and lacquer finishes under the DekoRit, PortaLit, GetaLit, WestaLife and WestaLack brands.
Westag’s UK area manager Paul Taylor said the company decided to target Q-Mark certification in response to customer demand.
Based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Westag has an annual turnover of €225m. Its fire doors are manufactured with a Halspan core.
Its other products include plywood/formwork and laminates.
