Solid wood processing machinery manufacturer Weinig AG is reorganising its business into five divisions in response to rapidly increasing product diversity and changing conditions in the market for wood-processing machines.

The five divisions being created are profiling, windows, pre-cutting, end profiling and used machines. Each individual product area is structured around the process.

Weinig said the product division will be the central element in the company’s future organisation and will be largely independent, with ongoing development of the product range as its main objective.

“These new structures will put us in a better position to focus on our core competences, giving added dynamism to our activities in the market,” said Weinig chairman Wolfgang Pöschl.

He said the company expected a “massive impetus” from the new structure, particularly in its core business of profiling.

Changes will be implemented by the end of the year.
