The timber door manufacturer has said that the wood industry should take more of an interest in its buying practices in order to ensure that all materials used in the production of timber products are from sustainable sources.

To this end, Vicaima has said that Greenpeace‘s Carving Up the Congo report has drawn attention to an issue that it has been aware of for a number of years.

The company has also stated that it has already reduced its imports from the DRC and is working with the Forest Stewardship Council on promoting a range of doors manufactured from sustainably certified timber.
