In response to growing business DF Richards (Veneers) Ltd has moved to larger premises in South Woodford, Essex.

The relocation represents a £75,000 investment for the company which incorporates Jointed Veneers and further investment of around £150,000 in veneer jointing machinery is planned.

Managing director David Richards said: “We have around 25% more space which we have refurbished to fit in with what we are doing.

“Our manufacturing division is picking up more and more orders and we needed to expand production, so we will be buying new machinery to cope with increased demand.”

Both DF Richards (Veneers) and Jointed Veneers have recently achieved Forest Stewardship Council chain of custody certification which, Mr Richards said, is making a difference to the business as there is increased demand for certified product.

The extensive storage and selection areas now available will benefit clients with architects and designers wishing to personally inspect veneers which go mainly to panel, door and furniture manufacturers.
