The Southern Pine Council is building on its campaign to encourage consumers to use more wood.
It has released a series of three newspaper articles and a radio spot to be distributed nationwide over the next few months by the North American Precis Syndicate.
The first article, “Key tips for outdoor building”, provides top building tips including proper use of fasteners, safe construction practices, and suitable finishes.
The next, “Deck out your yard to enhance living space”, lists reasons why outdoor decks are so popular. In the third, “Real wood has real advantages”, SPC explains some of the benefits of using real wood, specifically southern pine, for interior spaces.
The articles will be distributed to 10,500 daily and suburban weekly newspapers, and the 60-second radio spot will reach 6,500 stations nationwide.
