US-based EcoBlu Products (ECOB) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Structural Technologies in which the latter will produce ECOB Red Shield protected lumber products.
Under the agreement Structural Technologies will produce the product at its Doswell facility, Virginia, as well confer the distribution rights to distribute lumber into the entire US market.
ECOB Red Shield treated lumber incorporates protection against fire, mould, wood rot and termite protection.
Structural Technologies will incorporate the Red Shield into its core products of prefabricated timber roofs, wall and floor assemblies, as well as produce Red Shield treated coated lumber for ECOB’s customers.
The memorandum of understanding also allows ECOB to leverage Structural Technologies’ expertise in wall and floor panel prefabrication in anticipation of a global push of ECOB-designed housing projects.
