Weak prices due to oversupply of sawn goods in Finland and Europe’s main markets has forced UPM to temporarily limit its sawn goods production.

Manufacturing will be cut for four days at the turn of April/May at four of UPM’s Finnish mills – Aureskoski, Alholma, Kajaanni and Seikku.

Dispatch activities and kiln drying will continue as normal and no one will be laid off during the period. The production cuts do not concern further processing in connection with the Aureskoski and Alhoma sawmills.
