Forest managers from UPM Tilhill’s North Highland District have helped pupils and teachers at an Inverness school develop a woodland classroom.
Pupils and teachers from Muirtown Primary School were joined by the forest managers to replace old and damaged tree shelters with larger ones in order to combat deer browsing.
The woodland classroom is being created on a 2.5-acre site in the Craig Dunain Community Woodland, where 250 broadleafed trees have been planted to create a space for pupils and the local community to learn, exercise and relax.
