Staff levels at UPM Plywood are being reduced by 53 as part of a reorganisation at the company’s headquarters and sales divisions.

The reduction, of which 35 will be redundancies, will take place by mid-2012.

Staffing levels at UPM Plywood after the reduction will be about 2,500, of which about 1,700 are in Finland.

Negotiations regarding the international sales network and mill maintenance in Finland are still ongoing.
