International Decorative Surfaces (IDS) has been appointed exclusive distributor of the new Universum Collection from Kronoswiss which is backed by a £3m global re-launch budget.
Universum, which replaces the Collection 3000 Plus, consists of exact matches in MFC, laminates, melamine faced MDF, edging tapes and postform elements for the kitchen, bedroom and office furniture manufacturing and shopfitting sectors.
There are more than 4,000 Universum product lines, all available ex-stock from Switzerland to the manufacturer within one week nationwide from IDS’ 10 regional branches.
The re-launch includes the distribution of more than 500,000 brochures and 15,000 product binders in core markets over a two-year period.
The introduction of the new range will touch operations throughout IDS including IT, warehousing, logistics, sales and marketing.
The company has invested heavily in its national infrastructure over the past two years and managing director John Bagshaw said: ‘As the interface between our supply partners and our customer base, we take our role very seriously in preparing for a major new range introduction.’
