Operations are to be streamlined at United Sawmills‘ Northern Group sawmills in Finland.
From the beginning of August Kajaani sawmill will saw only redwood, while Alholma sawmill in Pietarsaari will concentrate mainly on whitewood. Alholma will continue to process both redwood and whitewood after the change.
United Sawmills is also introducing individual shipping marks for each species.
