Laminate floor manufacturer Unilin has ended its dispute with Power Dekor.
Unilin’s intellectual property arm Flooring Industries Ltd, concluded a settlement and a licence agreement with Chinese laminate flooring giant Power Dekor for the manufacture and sale of certain laminate floor products using Unilin’s patented gluless technology.
The agreement settles Power Dekor’s worldwide past sales of products and ends pending patent litigation proceedings in the US.
“This agreement is a further endorsement of respect for intellectual property in China,” said Raymond Hegarty, managing director of Flooring Industries.
Flooring Industries also said it had reached settlement and license agreements with four new Chinese companies – Xian Link Cork, Max Nobel, Shanghai Goleaders and Jilin Limeijian.
