A revision of the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS) is under way.

Comments and suggestions are being sought by the UKWAS Steering Group on areas of the standard that could be reviewed. The standard is due to be revised by October 2004.

UKWAS, the principle standard for independent forest certification in the UK, is recognised by both the Forest Stewardship Council and the Pan-European Forest Certification schemes.
