The publication of the Olympic Development Authority’s (ODA) latest round of e-tenders could present opportunities for the UK timber frame industry.
Commenting on the ODA’s contract notice for lightweight event structures and modular accommodation, UK Timber Frame Association chairman Geoff Arnold said it presented a good opportunity for timber frame to get a foothold in the whole London 2012 development plans.
“These look like interesting opportunities for the timber frame industry and its excellent products to become better represented within the Olympic Park and off-park venues,” he said.
