Decorative Panels (DP) registered international interest in its products at February’s ZOW show, with UK visitors leading the way with interest in gloss finishes and lamination technology.

The company used the Bad Salzuflen show to market its dp-lite hollowcore board product, but said that there had been keen interest shown in a range of its products.

Product manager Phil Dalton said that the 30mm to 50mm board dimension range had been particularly popular, with furniture and caravan manufacturers; and shop, exhibition and interior fitters showing interest.

Dutch, Belgian and French companies were keen visitors to the stand, but the UK was the most noticable presence. Britain is one of the company’s strongest markets, it said.

“It was UK visitors who were far and away the strongest contingent at this year’s show,” said DP lamination director Steve Cadwell.

DP added that it was planning a technology upgrade at it Elland, West Yorkshire facility during 2008, which will improve the lamination of specialist products such as gloss foils.
