Uganda’s National Forest Authority (NFA) has sold timber worth more than US$32,000 in an auction featuring open competitive bidding.
About 300 lots were sold at the auction, held at NFA’s Kampala headquarters.
The NFA said the good response was due to buyers knowing high-quality timber was for sale at lower prices compared with the open market.
