Taylormade Timber Products Ltd has invested in two new Volvo loaders to help share log handling and chip loading duties at its Sherburn Hill site.
The L90F wheeled loaders replace two earlier Volvo models and are being used to unload logs from incoming transport and load wood chips into bulk tippers for onward processing.
The new machines are equipped with optional boom suspension or ride control systems to make handling the logs around the site easier. Other features include a six-litre low emission Volvo engine, L4 heavy-duty tyres and hydraulic attachment brackets.
Log supply manager Keith Haywood said: “The Volvo machines have proved extremely reliable and are ideally suited to the application.”
