The Timber Trade Federation‘s list of BS 5268-approved plywood suppliers will be sent to builders, specifiers and the trade next week in a bid to make quality as important as price in the plywood market (TTJ March 31).

The list includes mills that produce to the BS 5268 structural quality standard, and is designed to steer the building industry towards plywood suited for structural applications.

The TTF move is in response to growing concern over the widespread use of uncertificated plywood for structural purposes in the building trade.
