Titled “The Customer is Always Right”, the conference will take place at the Building Centre, London on October 11and will be hosted by author and entrepreneur Mike Southon.

After a welcome by TTF president, Neil Donaldson, chief executive John White will outline the TTF’s business plan before handing over to Andrew Kinsey, chief executive of Bovis Lend Lease who will speak on “Developing Business – Working with Project Managers”.

Geoff Tomlinson, commercial director at Kingspan Group plc, is scheduled to speak on “Building for the 21st Century” and Paul Robertson, national timber development manager at Build Center will present on “Customers – Giving Them What They Want”.

Barclays Bank relationship director Howard Noye will ask “Banks – Do They Understand?” before Michael Ankers, chief executive of the Construction Products Associaton, speaks on “What’s on the Horizon”.

“Designing – With Wood in Mind” is the title of a presentation by architect John Pringle from Pringle Richards Sharratt, and “Market Forces or Market Failure?” will be presented by Peter Travis , chairman of Cdp-travissully.

The final speaker is Lai Wah Co , principal economist at the CBI whose presentation is titled “UK Economic Outlook – A Bright Future?”

The final event of the day is the TTF Question Time when Mike Southon will chair a panel of six industry figures who will answer questions from the floor.
