About 300 trussed rafters have been supplied by J Scott (Thrapston) Ltd for a new wing at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
The hipped and gabled roof covers around 1,700m² of the St Mary’s wing, with trusses forming a total span of 13.5m.
Geoff Halfpenny, project manager at developer MJ Gleeson Group, said: ‘The trussed rafters have worked well and we are pleased with the overall result. Scotts also have the warranties on the design which was one of the key reasons for choosing a Trussed Rafter Association member.’
