Growing demand for engineered timber products has led Trus Joist to sign up Puhos Board (UK) Ltd as its second UK national wholesaler.
Puhos will carry stock at its dockside distribution centre near Rochester and provide national deliveries to Trus Joist’s dealer network.
Trus Joist says the availability of additional on the ground stock will underpin supply channels to dealers and ultimately housebuilders.
Trus Joist UK sales manager James Sweet said the ability to co-operate closely with Puhos on technical, product development, training and site installation issues was a driving force behind the appointment.
He said the combination of Puhos’s WeatherDek2 flooring and the Trus Joist Silent Floor system represented a complete flooring solution which would be a major competitive advantage in sustaining and growing market share.
Mr Sweet said Puhos would offer a complementary strength to the service offered by existing wholesaler Crown Timber plc, of Cirencester, which is a leading supplier of truss timber and CLS. Crown provides an integrated service to timber engineering and timber frame customers.
