The Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (ATIBT) visit will involve four days of visits and two conferences, taking in Santarém for forest visits and Belém for industry visits and the conferences.
Taking place between November 12-18, the ATIBT states that the event will be of particular interest to European timber firms as its tropical wood exports play a key part on Europe’s markets.
And the conferences are due to see attendees discussing certification in tropical forests, the use of waste material to generate valuable energy and industrialisation in South America and Africa.
