The workshops are being organised by the QTVR system, which promotes an alternative method of tree safety management becoming increasingly accepted in the UK.

QTVR is designed to move management of tree safety away from labelling trees as either “safe” or “unsafe” and instead quantifies the risk of significant harm of tree failure in a way that allows land managers to balance safety with tree values.

Ten QTRA workshops will be held between September and next January, starting in Bath on September 4. A VTA session is being organised for September 19 at Moreton Hall, Warwickshire.

Workshops are also being scheduled for Ireland, Holland, Singapore and Australia.
