TRADA Technology has repackaged its scaffold board grading course to help address safety issues on site.
The new course – Principles and grading scaffold board and inspection of used boards – will present an overview of the grading rules, evaluation methods and correct storage.
“It’s important for companies to understand how to grade and inspect boards to ensure that they’re maintained to a high standard and, most importantly, are safe to use. In many cases the people responsible for the task are not timber specialists so training is key,” said Phil O’Leary, head of TRADA Technology’s Structural Investigations Section.
The one-day course is aimed at anyone involved in the production, stocking or hiring out of scaffold boards and will be held in the customer’s own yard or construction site.
