Barry Brunton, managing director of the timber frame design, manufacturing and erection company, said he had been impressed with the TRADA helpline, when the company started up some 20 months ago.

He said Classic Timber Frame Homes decided to join because of the additional support available to corporate members, and praised the “first class” technical information and literature on offer.

Chief executive Andrew Abbott said the organisation’s profile in the industry had been raised “hugely” in the last 12 months.

“Recent additions to the membership package, the apointment of construction regulations consultant Rupert Scott and the new case study area on the website underline our continuing commitment,” he said.

Further new initiatives, particularly in the area of training and education, are being considered for 2007.
