To be launched at Interbuild on April 25, the manual and CD package give a comprehensive set of constructional details, showing how the best results in timber frame construction can be achieved.
More than 80 cross-sectional drawings and designs are included, all produced and verified by timber frame construction experts.
Alex Goodfellow, managing director of timber frame manufacturer Stewart Milne Timber Systems and a member of the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) technical committee, said: “This is an important publication for the timber frame industry. Not only will it assist architects and designers to detail buildings properly, it will be invaluable for operators on site to ensure that buildings are constructed properly.”
Mr Goodfellow said the publication, produced independently by TRADA with the support of the industry and UKTFA, would be a great support in developing the market for timber frame throughout the UK.
