The organisation is working closely with its Dutch counterpart Centrum Hout to offer a programme which focuses on strategic issues facing the UK timber industry, as well as providing an insight of timber in construction and architecture within Holland.

The event, being held at the Philharmonie Conference Centre on November 9-10, will see Dutch architects and timber specialists talk about their experiences, including why people in Holland use more wood than the British.

On the second day, presentations will focus on the UK, including a contractor’s viewpoint, skills shortages in the timber industry and the London 2012 Olympics.

Tours will be held of the Philharmonie building as well as the innovative Damaststraat housing development.

Rupert Scott, TRADA group markting manager, said: “Last year, the event attracted more than 100 delegates to the Dorling Kindersley organic farm. We have decided to repeat last year’s successful formula, offering excellent networking opportunities in an inspiring venue, within a relaxed conference format.”
