The story of Timbmet’s plantation-grown 100% FSC red hardwood is the subject of a new film Red Grandis – The Hardwood of the future.

The film, available on YouTube or at www.timbmet.com, shows how red grandis is grown in Uruguay and brought to the market.

Red grandis is a legal and sustainable alternative to uncertified sapele or meranti.

It is most often used in internal mouldings and thresholds, furniture and cabinets, window and door frame and exterior cladding profiles.

Red grandis has undergone independent third-party testing by TRADA Technology and the BRE for natural durability and resistance to fungi as well as Class D35 for strength and stiffness and Class C35 for density.
