Timberwolf, one of the UK’s leading specialists in chippers and shredders, says all its new road tow machines and vehicles are now fully approved and compliant with the new European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA) legislation.

This legislation, which will be mandatory from October 29, is designed to level the playing field for companies wishing to sell their vehicles in Europe.

Timberwolf has invested considerable time and resources into the lengthy compliance procedure, with improvements including new rain flaps, anti-trap bars and reflectors, plus some less visible changes such as the VIN number stamped onto the chassis.

“It was a more involved process than even we’d imagined and it is to the credit of my teram that we were able to complete the conformity ahead of schedule,” said managing director Richard Marshall.

“We want to reinforce the confidence that our existing customers already have with us by demonstrating that our machines are now even safer to use since we have been independently tested and accredited.”
