Engineered timber window supplier TimberWindows.com has injected some competition into the conservatory market by launching its own product in engineered timber.

The company hopes to replicate its engineered timber windows sales success in the new product area.

Timberwindows.com managing director Chris Brunsdon told TTJ that the company’s diversification into the conservatory market using The English Glass Houses brand was an “obvious” move for the company, whose products are manufactured in Poland and Latvia.

“There’s not really any engineered timber conservatories in the market at the moment,” said Mr Brunsdon. “A lot of the big names still use solid wood.”

He said elements of the conservatory kit, including rafters, were designed for quick fitting and to reduce site installation time.

Initial sales are running at one conservatory per week, with the product available through selected dealers.
