Timberweb.com is hoping to scoop the £30,000 top prize for the InterForum E-Commerce Awards the second year running.

The awards – sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland and Cisco Systems – recognise and reward excellence in the use of e-business among small- and medium-sized enterprises.

TIMBERweb, which also won the Barclays Achievement Award for e-commerce during 2000, hopes to beat around 700 other entrants to win the accolade.

TIMBERweb sales and training manager Richard Chapman said: ‘We’d like to repeat the experience because high profile awards such as this really lift awareness about the site in the timber trade and externally.’

Closing date for entries is May 18 and the winner will be selected from 11 regional heats across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Contact www.ecommerce-awards.co.uk.
